Yellow Rice

I used Turmeric for this dish. After hearing of all it’s incredible health benefits I had to try it. Turmeric boots immunity, detoxifies, helps prevent certain cancers and acts as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever. I couldn’t pass up the chance to try it out! This rice was really easy to make. Top with protein and veggies or enjoy on it’s own.

Ingredients

• 2 cups of gluten free brown basmati rice

• 3 1/2 cups vegetable stock

• 1 tbsp turmeric

• 1 Tbsp olive oil

Staples: Spices – 1/2 tsp powdered garlic, 1/4 tsp ground cumin, 1/4 tsp salt

Directions

1. Add rice, stock, and spices to a pot and bring to a boil. Stir. Lower heat to simmer and cover. Cook for 40 minutes.

2. Remove lid and stir in 1 tbsp olive oil. Serve

Serves 6-8

Easy peasy. Enjoy!
