We love pesto sauce on fresh fusilli pasta. Do you? Why not try this simple nut free pesto for your next supper. Add it to fresh pasta, fish, chicken, bread or a spread it in a sandwich. Pesto has so many uses. I hope you love this one as much as we do!
Ingredients
• 2 cups fresh basil (chopped)
• 1/2 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
• zest and juice of 1/2 lemon
• 1/3 cup olive oil
Staples: 1 tsp minced garlic, 1/4 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp ground pepper
Directions
1. In a small food processor combine all of the ingredients. Pulse on purée until creamy.
Serves 6-8
